My name is Dominic Wells I’m from Jacksonville Florida I am a graduating Sr. attending Clark Atlanta University studying criminal Justice. I also am a part of our football team along with SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee). While in Jacksonville my Jr. and Sr. years I volunteered with the Director of Juvenile Justice for our teens in Jacksonville Fl. When volunteering I spoke to at-risk teens at different meetings they held that was a part of their diversionary process. This process allowed for teens to do different tasks as a second chance instead of serving time. This let me know that our teens need help and made me want to get involved. This internship allows for me to speak up for rights that people are entitled to and learn the ways to organize correctly. I can use everything I’m learning in this environment and take forth with me in the future.
